Our areas of expertise is in food, exercise and sleep to support your health and wellbeing

all about the science

Health psychology offers powerful, evidence-based strategies to transform your relationship with food, movement, and sleep. Rather than focusing on willpower or quick fixes, this approach helps you understand the psychological patterns, habits, and beliefs that shape your daily choices. Whether you’re struggling with emotional eating, finding it hard to maintain an exercise routine, or battling persistent sleep issues, health psychology provides practical tools to create lasting change. By addressing the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that influence your wellbeing, you can develop sustainable habits that support your health goals and improve your overall quality of life.

At Cinnamon Health Psychology, we work with you to look at the practicalities of your lifestyle as well as what you want to achieve. All the sessions are tailored to your needs and availability, and we can provide regular slots or at different times of the week.

We start with a 15 minute phone call or online session or we can arrange a longer meeting in person, based in Exeter, UK (EX4 3JQ) for a consultation fee. We help with evidence-based techniques, and also build in apps and other digital tools based on what works for you. We can also help you set up your wearables or other devices that you need to support your health and wellbeing.

We have a few tips and tricks to stay focussed on what is important to you.

Your sessions will be delivered by Rupa Chilvers, PhD who is in her final training year in Health Psychology. The support sessions will be fully supervised and you will receive more information about this when you have your introductory session.
